United Just Released a Fancy New Mobile Update

United Airlines updated its mobile app Thursday, introducing a number of new features that will assist users in navigating its Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington hubs.

App users passing through United’s Newark hub will have the option to use a new “indoor location” tool, which utilizes bluetooth beacons throughout the airport and the user’s exact location to make navigating even easier. Depending on user feedback, United may introduce this feature at other hubs.

Additional functions have also been added to help customers rebook a flight if they encounter delays or cancellations. Furthermore, the airline revealed it will feature more options to its free streaming video service for regional jets operations.

The update is currently only available for iOS devices, but United says it plans to roll out the update for Android devices soon.
