TSA PreCheck Just Added 7 New Airlines

Seven airlines were added to the TSA PreCheck trusted-traveler program this week, which now includes Copa Airlines, Dominican Wings, InterCaribbean Airways, Silver Airways, Singapore Airlines, Swift Air, and Turkish Airlines. This brings the grand total of airlines included in the program to 37 domestic and international carriers.

TSA would like everyone to know, however, that PreCheck doesn’t mean “no check,” and has this to say to you: “As always, TSA continues to incorporate unpredictable security measures, both seen and unseen, throughout the airport. All travelers will be screened, and no individual will be guaranteed expedited screening.”

Travelers enrolled in the program get to enjoy several convenient perks: they get to leave on their shoes and light jackets, aren’t required to take their laptops out of their cases, and can leave their little liquids in their carry-ons as well – for an $85 application fee and an in-person interview, of course.

So they are adding Turkish Airlines to Pre-check, yet I still can't bring my laptop into the cabin on a US-bound flight? *facepalm*
