Seriously, Drlamarca? Do you really demand that every FT article satisfy your personal definition of "news"? C'mon, Drlamarca. It's a frequent flyer website, not Reuters or Associated Press. And this is absolutely worthy of bringing up for perusal in an FT article. If someone pays for first class, they should receive first class. And if they're potentially not going to receive first class, they should know about it ahead of time--through such articles if need be. Thank you, FT!

According to a friend of mine who is an American Airlines pilot, pilots get a First Class meal, pursuant to their collective bargaining agreement. If there is no meal, then they get the snack.
