Ryanair Says ‘Sorry’ With 1 Million Dirt-Cheap Flights

Due to a Ryanair snafu that left almost 400,000 passengers with canceled flights over the course of the next six weeks, the carrier will makes flights available from £4.99 to £9.99 as an apology until September 25.

“We will cancel 40 to 50 flights daily for the next six weeks, (less than 2% of our schedule) with a slightly higher number this weekend as we begin to implement these cancellations,” said Ryanair chief Kenny Jacobs. “We apologise to all affected customers for these cancellations. We have messed up in the planning of pilot holidays and we’re working hard to fix that.”
