Proposed Heathrow Runway Advised to Meet Environmental Criteria

The British government has been advised by the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee to consider the planned third runway at Heathrow Airport (LHR) meet environmental criteria before building commences.

The advice comes by way of a recent report from the committee that specifies firm strategies concerning air quality, noise and climate-changing emissions need to be implemented. The government will reportedly make a decision on the matter by year’s end.
