Man Owes United $44,000 After Yoga, Threats

A federal judge has ruled that the man who was arrested after aggression toward a United Airlines flight crew after refusing to cease doing yoga and got violent with the crew must pay United more than $44,000 in restitution. The man, a South Korean tourist, pleaded guilty in April to interfering with a flight crew, and will be under court supervision three years, the same amount of time he has to pay United Airlines $44,235. He also might be barred from returning to the United States, which he says is no problem because he does not plan to travel here again.
