LHR CEO Says New Runway Will Be Environmentally Friendly

In a recent conference, Heathrow Airport (LHR) CEO John Holland-Kaye said the airport’s new third runway will be carbon neutral because it is “the right thing to do” and it makes sense, financially. Holland-Kaye also noted plans for a research center that will work to reduce noise and pollution caused by plans. “In effect, our goal is to decouple our airport’s growth from climate change, something I’m not sure that we could have stood here five years ago and said, but today we are proud to commit to,” Holland-Kaye said.
