Game of Thrones Helps LGW Serve Record Numbers

Due to an influx of fans of the HBO show Game of Thrones traveling to Northern Ireland in order to catch a peek at the show’s set, London Gatwick Airport (LGW) served over 43 million passengers in 2016 – an increase of 3 million from 2015.

A spokesperson for Gatwick credited the hit show for the record passenger traffic, saying “the Game of Thrones effect is well and truly established.”
