French Cabin Crew Restrains Urinator

F-GYAR - 396011 - Air Mediterranee - Airbus A321-211 (0891)

The cabin crew of an Air Mediterranee flight from Algiers to Paris was forced to restrain a shirtless man aboard the flight who allegedly urinated on another passenger after being made aware that smoking and drinking were not allowed aboard the aircraft. The altercation allegedly ensued about halfway through the 90-minute flight, forcing the plane to land in Lyon while the cabin crew sorted the situation out. When the flight finally landed at Charles de Gaulle airport three hours behind schedule, the alleged urinator was taken into police custody, and the second man involved in the confrontation was removed from the aircraft by authorities.
