Ex-Airline Supervisor to Plead Guilty in Child Sex Case

Defense attorney Frank Walker II has confirmed that client Ray Howland, a former American Airlines operations manager, is now set to plead guilty to charges of federal interstate child-sex in Pittsburgh. Howland was arrested near Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) last June after an undercover state attorney general’s agent posed as the mother of a 10-year-old daughter and received explicit messages from Howland about “looking for a family or a couple of girls” for sex while in town on business, prosecutors said. The plea deal includes an agreed-upon 10-year prison sentence instead of the maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment for attempting to coerce minors into sexual activity.
