Engine Failure Forces Southwest Flight to Divert

En route to Orlando from New Orleans, a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 from was forced to make an emergency landing in Pensacola, Florida, Saturday morning after one of the aircraft’s engines reportedly exploded.

“There was the loud explosion but after that it was very controlled. Scary, but in control,” one passenger onboard said.

According to the airline, no injuries were reported among the crew or 99 passengers on the aircraft.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
