Delta Flight Gets Stuck in the Dirt at AVL

On Sunday night, a Delta Air Lines flight became stuck in the dirt after taxiing onto a section of taxiway at Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) that was under construction, leading to cancellations and delays at the regional airport. All passengers aboard the flight disembarked on the taxiway and boarded shuttles to the airport terminal, and the aircraft was eventually towed back to the pavement due to the machinery being made non-operational by the dirt.
