Crew Members Mistakenly Douse Wrong Plane After Seeing Sparks

Crew members mistakenly sprayed the wrong plane with white foam after they claim they saw sparks emanating from an engine Thursday.

The incident, which occurred at Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC), was remedied once firefighters found the correct aircraft – an Air China Boeing 737-800 that was indeed emitting sparks from its right engine – though the Fuzhou Airlines flight that was incorrectly doused faced a delay of 10 hours and caused 30 other flights to be delayed.

Fuzhou Airlines released a statement saying its aircraft had to be towed for engine inspection, and FOC apologized for the situation.
