Chinese Airlines Create ‘Uncivilized Passengers’ List

Due to increasingly unruly and volatile passengers aboard flights, five Chinese airlines announced on Monday that passengers will be added to a shared “uncivilized passengers” list. The five airlines – Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Spring Airlines – announced that the list will be created to document passenger behaviors that disrupt airline operations, resulting in a restriction of services offered by airlines.

The joint statement by the five airlines went on to state that the list will be shared with other airlines and tourism agencies. This move appears to be in response to bad publicity caused by unruly Chinese airline passengers, and the National Tourism Administration stated: “Certain tourists’ frequent uncivilized behaviors at domestic and foreign airports as well on aircraft not only harmed the images of themselves and the nation — even more, they jeopardized aviation safety.”

I actually think this is a good idea. Yes, you never want to upset the Flight Staff, or any of the airline staff. In my history, if you treat them well and be nice, they will do the same for you!
