British Man Caught Peeing in Hotel Ice Machine, Forever Secures His Place in Travelers’ Nightmares

A British man was arrested in Orlando, Fla. after he was caught peeing in an ice machine at his hotel.

Andrew Wood, 41, was on vacation in Orlando last week when the British native won himself a free trip to the county jail. In the early morning hours prior to his arrest, the British man returned to the Hark Rock Hotel where he was staying. Wood, who was extremely intoxicated, then proceeded to urinate in a hotel ice machine.

A security guard caught in the act and asked Wood for his room number and name. According to the unnamed guard, however, Wood became agitated and uncooperative when questioned, prompting a call to local police.

Responding officers said Wood burst into random, angry fits and reeked of alcohol. Despite Wood’s behavior, the police didn’t immediately arrest him. One officer gave him the opportunity to spend the night in his own hotel room, but when Wood refused, the cuffs came out.

Wood was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct in a public establishment and taken to the Orange County jail. Apparently, his antics didn’t end there, as the police report shows he continued to be disruptive at the jail.

In the end, Wood pled guilty and was forced to pay a $500 fine. He was released after one night in jail. Luckily for future guests, the ice machine in question has been removed from the hotel.

Which is why most hotels now have ice dispensers, not ice chests. http://www.icemachinesplus.com/manitowoc-iy-0324a-sfa-191.html
