BA Puts an ‘Alligator’ on Runway

A faux alligator can be seen on a runway at Gatwick Airport (LGW) thanks to British Airways as part of a new marketing stunt. The carrier hopes the “reptile,” which was constructed in part with four hours of body paint, will encourage people to fly to Tampa, Florida, as it “is offering a four-night stay in the city as part of a new marketing campaign,” according to The Independent. Alligators are reportedly a nuisance in the Floridian city.
