JetBlue Airways has always prided itself in its approach to customer service. As a result, the in-flight features and amenities that JetBlue offers are often on the cutting edge of airline travel.
Even More Legroom
JetBlue Airways now offers you the opportunity to purchase a seat with even more legroom. The cost of an 'even more legroom' seat is an extra $10. These seats are offered on the Airbus A320 fleet, and are located at the front of the airplane. The seats provide you with approximately 38 inches of legroom, that will make it easy to relax and watch DirecTV.
Plus TV
Plus TV is JetBlue's brand new TV network that features a top rated shows and news programs. The channel is one of many available, located on your in flight monitor. Jetblue is known for offering individual TV monitors to each traveler on board the plane. You can watch movies, play games and even interact with other people on board your flight. Plus TV also features programming edited and created by the New York Times and the Broadway Channel.
JetBlue Features
JetBlue Features offers you a variety of DirecTV options that include bonus entertainment, such as behind-the-scenes looks at top rated TV shows, as well as sneak previews of movies that have yet to be released in theaters. In addition, JetBlue Features includes interviews with top celebrities and world class athletes. Movies on board most JetBlue Airways flights cost $6, and are available on all long haul and medium flights.
In Flight Snacks
Unlike many other airlines, JetBlue does not offer in flight meals. Some on board snacks and drinks include:
- Soda
- Peanuts
- Crackers
- Jetblue lunch packs
In flight snacks also feature a variety of JetBlue Airways cheeses and prepared sandwiches.
Checked Bags
When flying JetBlue airways, you can check one bag for free. A second bag will cost you an additional $30. Each additional bag after this costs $75. You're allowed to bring one carry-on item on board, but it cannot exceed the dimensions of the overhead storage bin, 24 by 16 by 10 inches. If you plan on bringing a musical instrument on board, it's possible to check the bag. If it's a fragile item, you are able to bring it on board and either purchase a separate seat for it or place it in the coat check.
Assigned Seating
If you are flying on board a JetBlue Airways flight, it's possible to reserve a specific seat for no additional fee. Go on JetBlue's official website to choose the seat of your choice. JetBlue does not supply you with an in flight magazine, so bring your own personal reading materials. The average legroom on a JetBlue flight is a seat pitch of 32 to 34 inches. There are no First Class seats on JetBlue flights.
