Hawaiian Airlines In-Flight Features and Amenities

Hawaiian Airlines specializes in flights to and from Hawaii. The airline has a variety of in flight features and amenities that vary, depending on the duration of the flight you're on.

Menus

Hawaiian Airlines' menus are specially crafted by Chef Beverly Gannon of Hali'imaile General Store. Chef Gannon's menu offers everything from breakfast pastries and fruit plates, to jack cheese enchiladas and scrambled eggs with ranchero sauce. A different menu is available for flights to different parts of the US. For example, refreshments found on Hawaiian Airlines flights from the South Pacific to Hawaii are different than flights going from Hawaii to to the U.S. mainland. Hawaiian Airlines also offers late night menus that include everything from black bean soup to potato macaroni salad. Each class on Hawaiian offers a different menu, and as you get higher in class you find higher quality foods and dishes.

In Flight Movies

In flight movies depend on the duration of your flight. For coach passengers, each movie costs a flat fee of $5. If you're flying in business or first class, all movies are complimentary. If you're flying to the South Pacific, most Hawaiian Airlines flights will offer two movies during your flight.

Special Services

Hawaiian Airlines accommodates people and families with unique needs and considerations. If you're flying with your family, Hawaiian will offer you a free ticket for any infant traveling with you. However, you're not allowed to bring an extra carry on or any checked baggage for the infant. Age two is the cutoff to be considered an infant on Hawaiian Airlines. If you or someone you're flying with has a disability, the airline will make sure to provide adequate service for you or your friend.

First Class

Hawaiian Airlines' first class cabin offers you everything from first rate meals to your own personal TV. Each television comes with movies, games, TV shows and a variety of other things that will keep you entertained throughout the duration of your flight. First Class seats are large and offer extended reclining, which make it easy to sleep through your entire flight. If you're part of Hawaiian Airlines' frequent flier club, you can earn a free First Class flight through miles.

Business Class

If you're flying Business Class to or from Hawaii, you'll be rewarded with free movies, in flight refreshments and more. The seats are not as spacious as First Class, but Business gives you a sizable amount of room and space to work with. The seats recline, and there's above average overhead storage room for you to place your personal carry on items in.  Business Class also offers desserts to travelers flying during the evening.
