Emirates Airlines offers a number of in-flight features and amenities that cater to your needs in two key areas: service and technology. These are important to all business travelers, but especially if you have to travel long distances. Here's what you can expect on most flights:
Cabin Features
Emirates Airlines emphasizes comfort as part of the flight experience. To that end, you'll find comfortable sleeper seats and wide aisles. You won't feel so cramped on board, which is crucial for long-distance travel. Business Class offers three features for you to keep working while on board:
- Laptop charging
- Silent message service
- Phone and email
When you're done working, you may be able to sleep on a lie-flat seat on select routes. You can also watch a television program or film on a screen in the seat-back directly in front of you. If you ride in Economy Class, you can enjoy a lot of space between seats in the cabin.
Ice Digital Widescreen
How often do you get to pause or rewind a movie in-flight? You can if you're on an Emirates Airlines flight, because of the Ice Digital Widescreen technology. You can choose more than 1,000 channels including movies during your flight, and control how you watch any movie. You could also keep track of your flight on the widescreen. If you don't care to watch television, you can enjoy music, news and interviews on Emirates Airlines' radio, which offers 26 audio channels from around the world.
Dining
In First Class, you can expect a seven course meal for lunch and dinner. Breakfast includes three hot dishes for long flights. You can also order multiple course meals, in addition to what's already offered at any time. On a Business Class flight, the lunch and dinner meals are five courses, while the breakfast dishes remain the same. Economy Class includes two course lunch and dinner meals, but no breakfast.
You can also order a variety of wines and champagne to accompany meals, except for flights to Saudi Arabia. The options for types of wine and champagne available coincides with what class you're booked in. For example, First Class has six options for wines and champagne, while Economy only has three. The wine list for flights includes Red Bordeaux, White Australian and White French.
Lounges
There are several lounges worldwide available to passengers of
Emirates Airlines. However, you must travel in First or Business Class
to gain access. If you're looking for a meal before or after your
flight, you can find gourmet food in any of the lounges. The food is
usually laid out as a buffet for customers. You can also take a shower,
or watch television or a movie while waiting in the lounge. If you'd
like to get some work done, each lounge has business centers with the
technology you need, such as broadband and wireless Internet.
With
all of the features and amenities offered by Emirates Airlines, you're
sure to arrive at your destination well rested. The technology will
also provide you with the opportunity to take care of business before
or during your flight.
