Airline Offers Tickets With No Free Checked Luggage Allowance

China Airlines began selling tickets Wednesday for July 9 and onward on routes between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) and Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) with no free checked baggage allowance. The new policy came via an announcement from the airline on Tuesday. According to China Topix, the carrier is hoping to attract flyers who want to save money.

Air New Zealand has used that as an option for some time now ..., followed by seat+bag, The Works (inc meal, movies etc), and The Works Deluxe... all as economy options on domestic and short haul.
