11,000 Air India Flights Rescheduled, 16,000 Delayed Since June

In the first six months of 2016, Air India reportedly rescheduled over 11,000 flights delayed 16,000 more at an average of over 15 minutes, according to Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha. Sinha claims that flights are only delayed or rescheduled under unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, and that in order to ensure better punctuality and reliability from Air India, a meeting is conducted by the carrier every day involving heads of vertical and regional heads as they discuss the operations of the previous day and brainstorm solutions for how to improve these issues. “Initiates have been taken to increase the availability of resources in terms of crew and aircraft thereby improving the on time performance. Extra efforts are made to ensure passenger connection,” said Sinha.

AI needs to reschedule flights if they're flying imaginary planes... the above photo is an A380 -- but Air India does not have any. (the photo is a fake!)
