11 Booted From Alaska Airlines Flight for Causing Disruption

After 11 passengers displayed “disruptive” behavior, including refusal to fasten seat belts, cease charging their cell phones and return their seats to the upright position while the flight prepared for takeoff, the offending flyers were removed from the flight prior to departure for Seattle.

“While this situation does not happen every day, it’s not uncommon for us to have to remove passengers if they’re behaving in a disruptive manner or not following crew member instructions,” said Alaska Airlines’ Communications Manager, Roy Lane.
